Anyone who says journalists know nothing about film hasn’t seen the Fresnel Media team in action. FM sponsored an ambitious group of journalists, amateur filmmakers and thespians in this year’s BritFilms TV 24 Hour Film Challenge.

The FM team had 24 hours to shoot and edit a three minute film and were up against some pretty stiff competition with participants including award-winning filmmakers from across the UK.

Of the 40 or so entries received, FM’s submission The Banns of Marriage was one of only a handful that were short listed and shown on the big screen to a packed theatre at the Cornerhouse cinema in Nottingham.

The film is now eligible to compete at two additional UK short film festivals. Stay tuned to find out how it fares.
